Franchi Momentum Bolt Action Rifle - 270 Win - 22":
The Momentum is designed to be an extension of the body, regardless of shooting position. The stock combines curvy lines and crisp checkering to yield an ideal hold in 5 frequently-used shooting positions, while the recessed swivel attachments save the left hand from recoil. The TSA recoil pad absorbs 50 percent of felt recoil and will not snag on your clothes. The action features the same blend of comfort and crispness, with its glass-smooth bolt operation and short 60-degree lift. The trigger is single stage, adjustable (2-4 lbs.) and incredibly crisp, enabling you to benefit from the tremendous accuracy potential of the free-floating barrel. The end is threaded under a knurled cover, making it easy to attach a variety of muzzle accessories.
The feature-rich Momentum makes its debut in 6 popular hunting calibers. The Momentum takes the same scope bases as the Remington model 700 (two-piece bases only).

Revolutionary Stock
The stock of the Momentum is truly revolutionary. It combines raised curves and crisp checkering to offer the most ergonomic feel and positive hold in 5 frequently-used shooting positions. Most uniquely, the raised curves enable your supporting hand not only to grip the stock steadily, but also to exert forward or backward pressure if needed.
Easy Bolt Takedown The one-piece bolt is spiral fluted and features 3 large-sized locking lugs for a rock-solid lockup - which translates into accuracy and reliability. The bolt is easily disassembled and has a short, 60-degree throw.
Crisp Trigger & Two-Position Safety With the two-position safety on, you can still operate the bolt: safely chamber a round or remove it from the chamber at the end of your hunt. The single-stage trigger is especially crisp and adjustable from 2 to 4 lbs.
TSA Recoil Pad The proven TSA recoil pad absorbs 50 percent of felt recoil and will not snag on your clothes as you shoulder the rifle. Also, a checkered recess at the rear of the stock will comfortably accommodate your left hand as you shoot from a bench.
Free-Floating, Cold Hammer Forged Precision Barrel The cold-hammer-forged, chrome-molybdenum, matte-finish barrel is entirely free-floating for maximum accuracy. The end is threaded under a knurled cover, making it easy to attach a variety of muzzle accessories

30-06 Springfield:
The .30-06 Springfield cartridge (pronounced "thirty-aught-six" or "thirty-oh-six"), 7.62x63mm in metric notation and called ".30 Gov't '06" by Winchester, was introduced to the United States Army in 1906 and later standardized; it remained in use until the early 1980s. The ".30" refers to the caliber of the bullet, and the "06" refers to the year the cartridge was adopted, 1906. It replaced the .30-03, 6mm Lee Navy, and .30-40 Krag cartridges. The .30-06 remained the U.S. Army's primary rifle and machine gun cartridge for nearly 50 years before being replaced by the 7.62x51mm NATO (commercial .308 Winchester) and 5.56x45mm NATO, both of which remain in current U.S. and NATO service. It remains a very popular sporting round, with ammunition produced by all major manufacturers.
Suggested Use:
- Deer (long range)
- Black Bear (long range)
- Sheep / Goat (long range)
- Moose
- Elk
- Buffalo / Bison
Performance:
Commercially manufactured rifles chambered in .30-06 are popular for hunting. Current .30-06 factory ammunition varies in bullet weight from 7.1 to 14.3 grams (109.6 to 220.7 gr) in solid bullets, and as low as 3.6 grams (55.6 gr) with the use of a sub-caliber bullet in a sabot. Loads are available with reduced velocity and pressure as well as increased velocity and pressure for stronger firearms. The .30-06 remains one of the most popular sporting cartridges in the world. Many hunting loads have over 3,000 foot-pounds (4,100 J) of energy at the muzzle and use expanding bullets that can deliver rapid energy transfer to targets.
